Sixth Form student, Louis Baily, from Bootham School has played his way into three scholarship offers from some of the country’s top music conservatoires. Louis has decided on the Guildhall School of Music and hopes to take up his place there after A-levels this summer.
Paul Feehan, Director of Music at the leading independent Quaker school, said,
Bootham has a very special reputation for music, and Louis is a regular favourite at our weekly lunchtime, public recitals. He is a gifted musician and a highly talented performer; I am delighted that his talent has been so widely recognised by all these prestigious establishments.
Louis, along with all the other students at Bootham, are now able to take advantage of the School’s new £3.5 million Arts Centre, which they moved into at the start of term.
