Three Year 6 St. Martin’s Ampleforth School pupils, William Armstrong (age 11), Martin Diamond (age 10) and Sebastian Grace (age 11) have had their solution to a previously unsolved maths problem published on the Cambridge University NRICH website.
Mr. Hollins, had given Year 6 a number of unsolved maths puzzles and the boys had worked on the problem in their free time.
“We started about 15 times” said Martin. “It was really difficult but good to do” added William. “Finding the answer was fantastic” said Sebastian.
