The event was held in the Skipton Town Hall and was adjudicated by Michael Hancock, a former Master of Music at Carlisle Cathedral. He proved to be quite a hard task master, but both boys came away with trophies and certificates for outstanding performances in particular categories.
The Vocal Solo was awarded jointly. It was given to Rupert for his rendition of a song sung in French ‘Jeune Fillette’ and to Henry for his rendition of Cesar Franck’s ‘Panis Angelicus’.
The Vocal Duet was awarded to Rupert and Henry for their duet ‘Maria Mater Gratiae’ (Faure).
