Six Terrington Hall pupils who train at Malton Junior Netball Club have been selected for the England Performance Pathway netball programme following trials at York University.
Year Seven pupils Anna Barker and Amelia Blackburn, and Year 8 pupils Lily Browne, Francesca Chapman, Tara Jones and Clemmie Preston will train at thePathway’s satellite academy alongside Malton Netball Club team-mates Holly Collier, MaddieCraggs, NiamhCreber, Maddie Dean, Olive Ferguson, Neve Leggett, Nicole Taylor, Harriet Eve and Ella Latham.
The Club, formed only a year ago by netball coaches Tricia Martin and Alison Sellars, has also had six of its members selected for the Pathway’s County Academy: Eleanor Anson, Charlotte Coopland Jones, Alex Donovan, Annabel Francis, Scarlett Latham and Morgan Russel.
The England Performance Pathway is a national programme which takes athletes from 11 and 12 years’ old through to the Senior National Team. Nominations for the programme are entered by netball clubs and schools and places awarded after selective trials.
